Churches in Old Hampton, VA — What to Know Before You Visit

Published September 17, 2026

Old Hampton is one of the oldest and most historic parts of the city, and the people who live there tend to take community seriously. If you're looking for a church in Old Hampton — one that's actually worth making part of your Sunday routine — here's what you should know about The Bridge Church before you visit.

We're Close

The Bridge Church is located at 35 Tide Mill Lane in Hampton, VA, just a short drive from the Old Hampton neighborhood. You're not looking at a long commute or a complicated route — it's a quick trip, and parking is easy when you get here.

Who We Are

We're a multiethnic, multigenerational church — which in practice means you'll find people of different ages, backgrounds, and life stages sitting in the same room, worshipping together. We think that's what the church is supposed to look like, and it shapes everything from how we do Sunday mornings to how our small groups are structured.

Our Lead Pastor, Edwin Jones II, is a Hampton native. This city is his home, and that comes through in how he leads and teaches.

What Sunday Looks Like

Three services every week: 8:15 AM, 10:00 AM, and 11:45 AM. Each one includes worship and a practical message from Scripture. About 90 minutes total. No pressure, no performance — just a community of people who take their faith seriously and want to grow.

If you have kids, BKids runs during the 10:00 and 11:45 services for ages 1 through 5th grade. Safe, structured, and genuinely fun for children.

Beyond Sunday

The Bridge isn't just a Sunday morning experience. Connect Groups meet weekly and bi-weekly across Hampton Roads — these are smaller gatherings where people actually build friendships and do life together. It's where a lot of people who visited once end up finding their community.

Come see us. 35 Tide Mill Lane, Hampton, VA 23666. We'll be glad you did.
